RTX's Collins Aerospace unit in Rockford, Illinois offers an embedded controls co-op opportunity in the Electric Power Embedded Controls department. The role is onsite and designed for students pursuing an Electrical Engineering or STEM degree who want hands-on experience with hardware and controls projects.

You will work under a hardware lead engineer, contribute to requirements, design, testing, and documentation, and gain exposure to the full hardware lifecycle while exploring potential

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or STEM.
Experience with electronics and electrical components.
Lab experience and use of electronic test equipment.
Experience with Excel and circuit simulation software.

Responsibilities

Apply fundamental knowledge to embedded controls tasks under a hardware lead engineer.
Engage in controls engineering activities across the hardware lifecycle.
Prepare and publish project documents for design, testing, deployment.
Assist engineers with project administration and technical tasks.
