Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a School-Based Clinical Therapist to coordinate care for students with behavioral health needs. You will provide outpatient therapy to a small group, train school staff, and connect families to community resources.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field eligible for mental health licensure.
• Associate-level mental health license (LCSW, LMHC-A, LMFT-A) with RI Department of Health or ability to obtain by time of hire.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in school or mental health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health consultation, referral, and care coordination to address student behavioral and/or emotional needs.
• Conduct suicide risk assessments and participate in threat assessment teams.
• Provide outpatient individual, family, and group therapy per treatment plans.
• Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries on time.
• Coordinate with schools and families to connect students to appropriate services.
