Job summary

Lucid Motors USA, Inc. is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer in Newark, California to lead the development of world-class battery management software for real-time embedded systems.

You will architect, design, implement, and verify high-performance firmware that ensures reliability and safety of Lucid’s energy management features. The role requires 5+ years in embedded software, strong C and/or Python skills, and experience with safety-critical multicore systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
• 3+ years of C (required); Python also acceptable.
• 2+ years with schematics and peripheral interfaces.
• Experience in safety-critical multicore development.
• Familiarity with software design tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop architecture and design for sophisticated battery management software.
• Deliver high-quality real-time embedded software with reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on BMS features and energy intelligence.
• Design, develop, and own mission-critical features like state machines and diagnostics.
• Provide versatile support and take on additional duties as needed.
