Job summary

Wayve’s Embedded Automotive Platforms team is seeking an Engineering Manager, EAP, to lead and grow a US-based embedded software team. The role blends hands-on coding (approx. 40%) with leadership (60%), focusing on core libraries and APIs for automotive platforms.

You will own the team roadmap, mentor engineers, and drive delivery across Linux/QNX, NVIDIA DRIVE, and Qualcomm platforms, while aligning with cross-functional partners across time zones.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading embedded-software teams.
• Hands-on in C++, C, or Rust with architectural experience.
• Delivery of software across platforms and vehicle compute.
• Experience in automotive safety standards (ASPICE, MISRA, ISO 26262) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, recruit, and grow an embedded-software team in the US.
• Coach engineers, support career development, and set a high bar for engineering quality.
• Own the team roadmap, turning milestones into clear objectives and delivery plans.
• Align priorities with cross-functional stakeholders and maintain accountability for schedule and quality.
• Stay hands-on through architecture, design, code review, and implementation of critical components.
• Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs across teams and time zones.
