Job summary

Wayve in Herzliya, Israel, is seeking an Embedded Automotive Platforms Engineer to help build a software platform that interfaces with vehicle hardware and enables deployment of AV software across platforms.

You will design and maintain embedded software, implement device drivers, collaborate across teams, and stay current with automotive hardware trends to improve reliability, performance and scalability of our autonomous systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Proven embedded software development experience in automotive/robotics.
Proficiency in C++ for high-performance systems.
Hands-on experience with embedded OS (Linux, QNX, RTOS).
Experience with Middleware architectures and IPC mechanisms.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain embedded software for autonomous vehicle platforms, focusing on sensor integration and hardware abstraction.
Implement and optimise device drivers for various sensors and compute hardware.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and ensure seamless integration with the autonomous driving stack.
Debug and troubleshoot software issues to ensure reliability and performance.
Participate in code reviews, testing and documentation to maintain high software quality.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends in embedded systems and autonomous vehicle tech.
