Wayve is building the leading AI platform for autonomous driving and seeks a technical leader to build and run the US Application Software team in Detroit or Sunnyvale. You will hire, mentor engineers and lead the bring-up and early validation of the AI software stack on customer hardware, coordinating with OEM/Tier1 partners.

You will drive OS configuration, BSPs, drivers, middleware and boot-time behaviour while enabling automated testing and scalable validation across automotive platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in embedded or automotive software development.
• Proficient in C/C++, Bash and Python.
• Deep knowledge of embedded Linux, Yocto, systemd, bootloaders and device trees.
• Familiarity with QNX and Adaptive AUTOSAR on target hardware.
• Experience bringing up automotive-grade SoCs (NVIDIA Orin, Qualcomm SA8295/SA8650, Renesas, TI).

Responsabilités

• Build and lead a US engineering team, hiring and mentoring top talent while providing hands-on technical leadership.
• Lead software bring-up on customer hardware platforms (NVIDIA DRIVE, Qualcomm Ride); port Linux, QNX, Adaptive AUTOSAR.
• Validate drivers, middleware and boot-time configurations; resolve hardware-specific integration issues with OEM/Tier1 teams.
• Collaborate with CI/CD, HIL and test infrastructure to automate setup, flashing, health checks and test execution.
• Ensure Wayve's AI software stack runs reliably on customer hardware and manage platform bring-up and validation.
