Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a senior engineer to accelerate compliant AI automation within its Compliance organization.

The role sits inside the Office of the CTO and emphasizes embedding with stakeholders, prototyping on Coinbase's AI platform, and delivering auditable, regulator-ready automation across critical workflows. You will own the automation roadmap, guide build-versus-buy decisions, and drive adoption through hands-on sessions with Compliance teams to ensure tools deliver real workflow

Formación

• 5+ years of software engineering experience shipping production systems.
• Hands-on deploying LLM-based applications with prompt engineering and guardrails.
• Ability to embed with non-technical domain experts and translate workflows into engineering needs.
• Familiarity with compliance systems like transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and audit-ready data handling.
• Experience in Forward Deployed Engineering or embedded advisory roles in RegTech/financial services.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly with human oversight and measurable improvements.

Responsabilidades

• Embed with Compliance leadership and frontline teams to surface high-leverage automation opportunities.
• Prototype rapidly using Coinbase's AI platform as the base before net-new builds.
• Own the Compliance automation roadmap with leadership, translating regulatory workflows into engineering requirements.
• Define the build-vs-buy strategy for Compliance tooling to decide what to build, adopt, purchase, or retire.
• Ensure automated outputs are traceable, reviewable, and defensible to regulators with auditability and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Drive adoption through brown-bags, prototype walkthroughs, and feedback loops.
