Job summary

YouDevise is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer who embeds with a Partner’s operations team to document real workflows and translate them into impactful product decisions. You will learn the regulatory domain deeply, encoding statutes and regulations in software, and collaborate across systems lacking APIs or modern interfaces.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience building and operating production software with clear ownership.
• Experience with agentic coding tools and understanding where they speed delivery versus supervision.
• Strong software engineering practices: Git workflows, code review, tests, CI/CD, monitoring, safe production releases.
• Proven ability to integrate third-party and legacy systems, including undocumented ones, without sandbox support.

Responsibilities

• Embed with a Partner’s operations team to observe real workflows and translate them into product decisions.
• Learn regulatory domain to a working professional standard and reason why rules exist, not just how to implement them.
• Integrate with non-native systems (vendor portals, SFTP, legacy apps, PDFs, spreadsheets) and build end-to-end production interfaces.
• Build and ship production code end to end with tests, scheduled jobs, and feature flags in a multi-tenant environment.
• Own correctness and operational risk, considering tenant isolation, idempotency, and failure handling.
