Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Architect to embed with client teams and drive AI-native, enterprise-grade solutions from pilot to production.

You will work closely with business owners, engineering leaders, security, risk, and operations to design architectures and guardrails that scale across domains. The role emphasizes ownership, ambiguity tolerance, and measurable impact, including defining economics of AI capabilities and autonomous agent governance.

Qualifications

• Experience taking AI-native systems to production for clients or customers.
• Track record as a solution architect with client-facing responsibilities.
• Ability to frame problems, present options with costs and risks, and drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Embed with a client account and work with business owners, product and engineering teams.
• Design end-to-end AI-native architectures including orchestration, retrieval, and integration with systems of record.
• Own measurable artifacts: capability economics model, trust evidence for agents, and domain knowledge graphs.
• Turn contradictory requirements into explicit decisions with named owners.
• Decide how much AI can handle per component and where humans stay in the loop.
• Define evaluation criteria for AI assistants and agents in business terms.
• Build proofs of concept or reference implementations as needed.
• Contribute learnings back to EPAM's AI architecture practice.
