Job summary

Specialty Systems, Inc. is seeking a Lab Manager to support EMALS/AAG lab operations at Joint Base MDL-Lakehurst. You will work with cyber security and hardware/software teams to ensure lab readiness and compliance for DoD testing.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 5+ years of lab leadership, and an active Secret clearance (or interim clearance). Expect responsibility for equipment, safety, and collaboration with vendors and partners.

Qualifications

• BS degree in an Engineering discipline (direct substitution possible).
• 5+ years managing a lab or technical team.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain interim Secret clearance within ~4 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate IA and Certification & Accreditation requirements for EMALS/AAG lab operations.
• Oversee installation of new lab equipment and software with EMALS/AAG teams.
• Oversee lab assets configuration and coordination for test events.
• Create custom lab test units (breadboard, PCB, basic electronics).
• Perform configuration management for lab documents.
• Schedule lab usage and test events with EMALS/AAG leads.
• Manage lab assets, RMAs, receiving and shipping.
• Prepare the EMALS/AAG lab for tours and conduct tours as requested.
• Coordinate procurement, inventory tracking, and lifecycle management of equipment.
