Job summary

Specialty Systems, Inc. in Lakehurst, NJ, is seeking a Lab Manager to lead the DoD EMALS/AAG lab operations at Joint Base MDL-Lakehurst. You will coordinate IA/compliance, oversee lab equipment installs, and manage lab assets in a highly secure environment.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 5+ years' lab/tech team leadership, and an active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain interim clearance. On-site schedule includes compressed work weeks with alternating Fridays.

Qualifications

• BS degree in an Engineering discipline or related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing a lab or technical team.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain SSBI; interim clearance acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Cyber Security branch and the RDT&E branch for IA and Certification & Accreditation requirements.
• Oversee installation of new lab equipment and software with EMALS/AAG teams.
• Oversee configuration of lab assets and software for test events with EMALS/AAG teams.
• Create custom lab test units for EMALS/AAG testing (breadboard, PCB, electronics).
• Perform configuration management for lab configuration documents.
• Coordinate scheduling of lab usage with EMALS/AAG leads and test events.
• Manage and track lab assets, including RMA processing, receiving and shipping.
• Prepare the lab for tours and conduct tours as requested.
• Coordinate procurement, receiving, inventory tracking, and lifecycle management of lab equipment and software.
