Job summary

State Street is seeking a Product Security Engineer/Architect – Email Security to lead enterprise email security strategy and architecture. You will drive evaluation and deployment of security controls, partnering with the GTS Email Platform team and the CDC to strengthen phishing and BEC defenses across the organization.

The role demands 8+ years in cybersecurity with 5+ years in email security, plus strong scripting and automation skills. Hybrid work model in NJ; competitive benefits and 401K.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or security architecture.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with email security technologies and threat protection solutions.
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, or Microsoft Security certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the enterprise email security strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
• Lead the evaluation, implementation, and improvement of email security technologies and controls.
• Collaborate with the GTS Email Platform team to deploy security across the email ecosystem.
• Work with CDC to enhance detection, investigation and response for email threats.
• Partner with Threat Intelligence, Identity Security, and Incident Response teams to identify threats.
• Lead product evaluations, PoCs, and vendor assessments for email security tech.
• Drive integration of email security with monitoring, analytics, and response platforms.
• Develop security standards, architectural patterns, and implementation guidance for email security.
