Cybersecurity Jobs in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Senior Lead Security Engineer to own the strategy, architecture, and lifecycle management of enterprise email security platforms for critical business communications.

The role leads cross-functional teams across Cyber, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and business stakeholders to define roadmaps, drive modernization, and manage incident response and risk. Onsite role with USD 175,750–260,000 per year.

Qualifications

10+ years of cybersecurity experience including leading enterprise email security programs
Deep expertise in secure email gateways, phishing protection, threat detection, encryption, cloud email security platforms, SPF/DKIM/DMARC
Proven experience designing and operating enterprise-scale security architectures in regulated environments
Advanced knowledge of cloud computing, AI/ML, or related technologies
Strong risk analysis, threat modeling, and security controls validation

Responsibilities

Own strategy, architecture, engineering, and lifecycle management for enterprise email security platforms
Define and drive the email security roadmap across gateways, phishing protection, threat detection, encryption, and DLP
Act as technical authority for email security architecture and regulatory compliance
Partner with Cyber, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Audit and business stakeholders to assess threats and prioritize investments
Lead complex modernization programs from concept to deployment, migrations, upgrades
Drive incident response, threat analysis, risk assessments, and remediation for email threats
Establish metrics, KPIs, and reporting on platform effectiveness and risk reduction
Create executive-ready materials for senior leadership and governance forums
Manage vendor relationships and ensure accountability for roadmaps and performance
Mentor and lead engineering teams and promote continuous improvement
Utilize AI capabilities in engineering workflows while protecting data and auditability
Lead cross-functional initiatives across Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and risk teams
