The Email Marketing Specialist at Experimental Aircraft Association will lead the management of a Marketo-based email program, guiding data-driven communications and member-focused campaigns. You will assemble and execute email sends, improve engagement, and provide actionable insights through reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in marketing and/or a business-related field.

Responsibilities

• Configure Adobe Marketo to align with the organization’s email strategy and audience segmentation needs.
• Identify and resolve issues related to email marketing rendering, deliverability, and other technical aspects to ensure optimal email performance.
• Maintain a good sender reputation by managing IP addresses, authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and ensuring compliance with best practices.
• Stay updated on new features and updates released by email marketing platform, implementing them to enhance the platform’s capabilities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date processes of opt-out requests within the email marketing database.
• Plan and maintain the email schedule and manage the execution of holistic organizational email strategy and campaigns.
• Ensure compatibility of HTML and CSS code with major email clients such as Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and Apple Mail.
• Understand CAN-SPAM and GDPR regulations and how they impact email marketing.
• Design and conduct A/B tests; analyze results to identify winning variations.
• Collaborate with marketing services and design teams to ensure engaging content.
• Monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends for improvements.
• Develop, manage, and customize HTML/CSS assets and a reusable library.
• Personalize emails using tokens and dynamic content blocks.
• Use UTM tracking codes on all email links.
• Monitor deliverability with regular spam checks and Litmus testing.
• Route email drafts for proofing and changes.
• Plan and schedule email sends to optimize open and click-through rates.
