Job summary

Sweetwater, the nation’s leading online retailer of music instruments and pro audio gear, seeks an Email Developer to join our Performance Marketing team. You will craft responsive HTML/CSS email templates, implement Liquid logic, and ensure QA across major clients.

Collaboration with the marketing team will map customer journeys and drive personalized campaigns. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a similar technical marketing role, strong knowledge of marketing automation platforms, and

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a similar marketing/technical role.
Experience with Marketing Automation Systems (e.g., Blueshift, Braze, SFMC, Marketo).
Proficient in HTML/CSS for email across clients and troubleshooting rendering.
Strong knowledge of email marketing best practices and compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.).
Experience using Litmus or similar email testing platforms.
Familiarity with dark mode and font rendering differences across devices.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with marketing to map customer journeys and design automated campaigns.
Develop and deploy email campaigns including transactional and promotional emails.
Code responsive HTML/CSS email templates for multiple clients.
Edit and optimize existing email templates and modules.
Perform QA across Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, and other clients.
Identify and resolve rendering challenges across devices and clients.
Use Liquid logic to customize content blocks and support a modular template system.
