Job summary

Capital One in Illinois is seeking an end-to-end CRM marketer focused on email. You will own the setup of the ESP, work with engineering, compliance, and IT to build the email marketing infrastructure, and become the orchestrator of a robust CRM program for US and Canada merchants.

The role requires data-driven mindset, SQL and HTML chops, and solid marketing skills (copywriting, design sense, attention to detail). You’ll collaborate across teams and drive conversion-focused campaigns.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in marketing operations and CRM.
• Experience setting up ESP instances and data syncs with Salesforce.
• Hands-on Salesforce architecture, Pardot or SFMC.
• Direct-response email copywriting experience.
• Experience evaluating lower-funnel metrics.
• Vendor management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Email journeys: Design automated, trigger-based email sequences aligned with offline touchpoints.
• Project management: Lead ESP rollouts and migrations bridging marketing and engineering.
• SQL: Write queries for dynamic audience segmentation and HTML/CSS inspection.
• Lower funnel: Evaluate reactivation volume, CPR, velocity, and conversion rates.
• QA and compliance: Ensure data validation and regulatory adherence.
• Collaboration: Work across engineering, analytics, and marketing with a testing mindset.
• Copywriting: Write clear, persuasive email copy that drives action.
