Sauer Corporate Services LLC is seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer with EM-385 1-1 Level 4 qualifications and DoD experience for on-site construction environments in Virginia. The role focuses on safety orientation, oversight, and compliance across activities including underground utilities, elevated work, and confined spaces.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as SSHO with DoD exposure, CSP or CHST certification, OSHA 30, and knowledge of OSHA/EM 385 standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years SSHO experience with DoD
• Level 4 SSHO qualification
• CSP or CHST certification
• 30 Hour OSHA in construction
• 24 Hour fall protection
• OSHA 1910/1926 and USACE EM 385 1.1 knowledge
• Scaffolds, Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, Ladders & Stairways, Trenching & Excavations

Responsibilities

• Provide safety orientation for all project new hires
• Provide strong safety oversight and guidance
• Guide subcontractors through government safety requirements
• Perform daily onsite safety inspections and RMS reporting
• Correct and document safety deficiencies
• Conduct Equipment Initial Inspections
• Daily communication with project team
• Accurate recordkeeping and AHA matrix
• Able to pass security background check to enter post
