Job summary

Safety Consulting & Compliance Corp is seeking a qualified SSHO for a 4-8 month project in the United States, with an immediate start. The successful candidate will develop and enforce safety plans, coordinate with USACE and inspectors, and drive compliance with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA standards.

Candidates must have at least 5 years of SSHO experience on federal or military construction projects, 40-hour EM 385-1-1, OSHA 30, and First Aid/CPR/AED, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of SSHO experience on federal or military construction projects.
• EM 385-1-1 (USACE/NAVFAC 40-hour) certification.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety.
• Ability to prepare safety documentation and compliance reports.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Task-Specific Safe Work Plan (SWP) and Toolbox Talks.
• Implement and enforce Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
• Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA standards, and federal contract requirements.
• Stop unsafe work immediately and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with USACE and government inspectors regarding safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all safety activities and incidents.
• Demonstrate ability to use Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Display willingness to learn and participate in company-wide systems for project tracking, communication, etc.
