Job summary

Sauer is seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) in Houston, TX. The role requires EM-385 1-1 sec 1 Level 4 qualifications with DoD experience to supervise safety for construction activities on site.

The SSHO will conduct daily inspections, document safety deficiencies, maintain records, and coordinate with the project team to ensure compliance with OSHA and USACE EM 385 1.1 standards. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• 5 years SSHO experience with DoD background.
• Level 4 SSHO qualification is required.
• Bachelor's degree or CHST a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide thorough safety orientation for all project new hires.
• Maintain strong safety oversite and guidance.
• Guide subcontractors through government safety requirements.
