ELS Substitute Associate Instructor in Cincinnati, Ohio teaches a range of classes under the ELS curriculum, focusing on adult learners with support from Academic Director and senior instructors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or better in English or related field.
• Minimum of 6 months ELS teaching experience for those who do not have an MA in TESOL or CELTA.
• Preferred CELTA or TESOL certificates.
• Masters or better in Applied Linguistics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Teach SSP (Structure/Speaking Practice), Vocabulary Enrichment, Reading/Writing, LTC and SECs as assigned.
• Prepare lesson plans, exercises and tests.
• Test, evaluate and counsel the student regarding classroom performance.
• Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Coordinate instruction, attendance records and evaluation with other teachers.
• Adhere to Center and Company policy and procedures, and communicate local policy to Associate Instructors.
