Job summary

ELS Educational Services in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an ESL Substitute Associate Instructor. You will plan, teach and evaluate assigned classes in accordance with the ELS curriculum, mostly for adult students, with support from the Academic Director, Instructional Specialists and Senior Instructors.

You will maintain student records, fulfill administrative duties, and participate in professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English or related field required.
• Minimum 6 months ESL teaching experience required if no MA TESOL or CELTA.

Responsibilities

• Teach SSP, Structure/Speaking Practice, Vocabulary Enrichment, Reading/Writing, LTC and/or SEC classes as assigned.
• Prepare lesson plans, exercises and tests.
• Test, evaluate and counsel students on classroom performance.
• Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Coordinate instruction and attendance records with other teachers.
