Job summary

ILSC Education Group is seeking an Academic Director in Cincinnati, Ohio to oversee all operations of the academic program. Responsibilities include hiring, training, curriculum development, student placement, testing and scheduling, with the Center Director acting in their absence.

The role requires BA with TEFL, 2+ years ESL teaching experience and 1+ year of administrative responsibility; MA preferred. Competitive benefits include health plans, 401k, tuition reimbursement and life/ disability

Qualifications

• BA from an accredited college/university and TEFL Certificate; MA in TESOL, Applied Linguistics or related field preferred.
• A minimum of two years teaching ESL and a minimum of one year of administrator responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Developing and conducting the academic program to meet ELS Language Centers curriculum standards.
• Hiring, training and supervising instructional staff.
• Providing substitute and/or regular classroom instruction.
• Maintaining the instructional budget within hours guidelines.
• Ordering and maintaining instructional materials within budget.
• Supervising student placement, testing and evaluation; scheduling classes, teachers and students.
• Orienting new students to the academic program; submitting required academic reports.
