Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Criminal history clearance.
• Have standard of moral character as required of teachers.
• Oral and written skills in targeted language(s) as verified through formal state or local assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assists the designated teacher(s) with individual and group supervision and behavior management of students.
• Assists in practice/remedial support for designated students under direct supervision.
• Observes, collects data, and records student progress.
• Assists with individual student testing, including assessing for native language fluency and English language fluency.
• Translates district and/or school material into appropriate language(s) as directed by the coordinator.
• Translates and interprets for parents/guardians as needed.
