Job summary

Riverview School in Lebanon, Oregon, is seeking Instructional Assistants to provide teachers with instructional support for students. Starting August 31, 2026, with a wage range of $17.58–$23.13 per hour, placement determined by experience per the LESPA contract.

Qualifications

• 1. High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2. Criminal history clearance.
• 3. Demonstrated knowledge and ability through a formal state or local academic assessment.
• 4. May be required to obtain an Oregon Type 10 Passenger Driver Certification, which requires a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assists the designated teacher(s) with individual and group supervision and behavior management of students.
• Assists in developing and carrying out individual programs of instruction and support for designated students under the direct supervision of the teacher.
• Observes, collects data, and records student progress.
• Assists with individual student testing.
• Supervises setting up and clean-up before and after activities.
• Prepares and organizes instructional materials as directed, including bulletin boards.
• Prepares and operates audio-visual equipment as needed.
• Assists with student supervision as needed.
• Participates in staffing or parent meetings as directed.
• Assists parents and community members as needed.
• Participates in district classified assistant staff development program activities.
• Transports students in district vehicles for class-related activities.
