Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education with a valid New Mexico teaching license and TESOL/Bilingual endorsement.
• Minimum of three years classroom teaching experience, preferably with ELL students.
• Knowledge of WIDA ELD Standards Framework and language proficiency assessments.
• Proficiency in using technology for instruction, assessment, and data management.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, differentiated ELD instruction to ELL students in small groups or pull-out settings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to co-plan and co-teach, using sheltered strategies.
• Administer and interpret language proficiency assessments (e.g., WIDA ACCESS, WIDA Screener).
• Develop and implement ILPs aligned with WIDA levels and needs.
• Maintain accurate records of ELL progress and services; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress and programs.
