Job summary

Ogallala Public School District is seeking a dedicated ELL Paraprofessional to support English language learners with academic and language instruction. You will work closely with teachers to adapt materials and reinforce classroom lessons across reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

The role emphasizes collaboration, confidentiality, and building an inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds. Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to support ELL students in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
• Experience or comfort working with children in a school setting preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to student confidentiality and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group instructional support to ELL students.
• Assist students in developing English language skills across core areas.
• Support teachers by adapting materials for language needs.
• Reinforce lessons and help with assignments and directions.
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations to supervising staff.
• Encourage participation, confidence, independence, and positive behavior.
• Help create a welcoming, inclusive learning environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervising teachers or administration.
