Job summary

Ogallala Public School District is seeking a dedicated ELL Paraprofessional to support English language learners with academic and language instruction. You will work closely with teachers to adapt materials and reinforce classroom lessons across reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

Qualifications

Ogallala Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and supportive English Language Learner (ELL) Paraprofessional to assist students who are learning English as an additional language. This position works closely with teachers and staff to provide academic, language, and classroom support to help students succeed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and small-group instructional support to English Language Learner (ELL) students
• Assist students in developing English language skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening
• Support classroom teachers in adapting instructional materials and activities to meet students' language needs
• Reinforce classroom lessons and help students understand assignments and directions
• Assist students with academic work across various subject areas
• Encourage student participation, confidence, independence, and positive classroom behavior

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• Bilingual skills (Spanish) preferred but not required
• Experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred

• Ability to work effectively with students of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
