Job summary

Laramie County School District No.2 seeks a paraprofessional to support both special education and general education instructors in creating a positive learning environment. You will help implement plans, provide targeted instruction, prepare materials, and assist with IEP accommodations.

You may work across multiple buildings, require translation support for meetings, and participate in professional development.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum Praxis score of 462.
• Ability to speak, read, and write with multilingual students.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech.
• Basic math and data interpretation skills.
• Seclusion and Restraint certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in classroom activities.
• Follow plans written to instruct students.
• Provide individual and small group instruction under the teacher's direction.
• Prepare instructional materials as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with IEP accommodations as needed.
• Supervise students in school activities as directed by teacher or Principal.
• Attend staff development training or workshops as requested.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• May drive to different schools within the school day.
• Provide translation services for parent meetings and conferences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
