Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Student Excellence Coach to motivate and mentor high-achieving K-12 students at Alpha's highest-expectation campuses.

You will spend forty percent on 1-on-1 and small-group coaching, forty percent on life-skills workshops, and twenty percent on morning kickoffs to set a high-performance culture.

This in-person role requires elite background, exceptional achievement, and a passion for building confidence in students, with relocation support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Proven exceptional achievement in a highly selective domain (national/international level).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in student coaching, youth mentoring, athletic coaching, or leadership roles with measurable impact.
• Willing to work in-person at Alpha campuses across CA and other listed locations.
• Legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Run 1-on-1 and small-group coaching sessions using analytics to diagnose blockers, set ambitious goals, and ensure follow-through.
• Deliver structured life-skills workshops and assess mastery using Alpha's system.
• Set the cultural tone each morning to reinforce high-performance expectations across the campus.
• Track student progress in real time and adjust coaching strategies based on data.
• Build trusted mentor relationships with students and families through high standards and motivation plans.
