Job summary

TIC_Craft in the United States (Louisiana) seeks skilled steel erectors to layout, install, assemble and erect steel components per blueprints and industry standards. The role involves crane hoisting, alignment verification and welding as needed.

Candidates should be able to work in a construction environment, follow safety rules and pass pre-access drug screening. Overtime and irregular hours may apply; a valid US driver license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Proficient in safe use of electrical and hand/power tools and measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Read specifications or blueprints to determine locations/quantities/sizes of material.
• Fabricate metal parts per blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Unload and position prefabricated steel units; hoist beams/girders/columns into place.
• Verify alignment with plumb bobs, lasers, transits, or levels.
• Cut, bend, or weld steel pieces using tools and welding equipment.
• Assemble hoisting equipment or riggings for moving heavy equipment.
• Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities required for work activities.
• Inspect subordinates' work for compliance with plans and take corrective action.
