Job summary

SpaceX in Brownsville, TX, is seeking a Welder (Starship) to join our Starbase manufacturing team. You will build and upgrade structural, fluid, and launch pad systems for Starship campaigns, welding large assemblies alongside an elite crew of fabricators.

Responsibilities include completing welding procedures, inspecting welds per AWS D1.1/ASME B31.3, reading engineering drawings, and collaborating with the lead welder to select materials and filler.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of hands-on welding with SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, or GTAW.
• College or vocational welding program experience qualifies.
• Preferred: 5+ years in FCAW/SMAW/GTAW/GMAW.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Complete welding assignments for site structures, launch pad structures, and fluid systems.
• Weld using FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW on various metals.
• Cut, trim, and fabricate components to specified dimensions.
• Review drawings with lead welder to plan operations.
• Maintain safety and meet training requirements.
• Work in fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
