Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a Speaker & Programming Coordinator for Barron's Wealth & Asset Management Events in NYC. You will support the Senior Director of Programming from speaker confirmations through on-site execution and post-event follow-up, with research, drafting and material preparation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 0-2 years of professional experience in event programming, conferences, financial services, editorial, communications, marketing, or related field.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail and follow-through for managing many speakers and deadlines.
• Strong writing, editing, research and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and travel as needed.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach across departments and with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Manage speaker coordination from confirmation through post-event follow-up and onsite support.
• Coordinate communications, scheduling, deliverables, contracts, travel, AV, special requests.
• Track timelines across multiple events and follow up proactively.
• Coordinate senior director's speaker and moderator calls (scheduling, agendas, materials).
• Maintain accurate speaker records, program documents, and planning systems.
• Research speakers or topics and prepare factual background for review.
• Draft and edit session descriptions, speaker briefs, moderator questions, and materials.
• Coordinate with production, editorial, sales, marketing to meet speaker requirements.
• Provide onsite program support including speaker check-in and AV coordination.
• Refer substantive content decisions to the Senior Director.
