Job summary

The Davenport Community School District is seeking a qualified softball coach for West High School. You will teach fundamentals, develop a competitive program, and motivate student-athletes to excel both on the court and in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or Iowa Teaching License with Coaching Endorsement.
• Experience with competition/success at the state level is desired.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coach softball fundamentals and techniques.
• Develop and maintain a competitive softball program.
• Motivate student-athletes to excel on the court and in the classroom.
• Communicate effectively with administration, staff, students, and boosters.
• Assist with feeder programs and youth camps; participate in booster activities.
• Provide adequate supervision before, during, and after practices/matches.
