Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Elite Security Officer Driver in Austin, TX. You will protect clients across Retail/Malls and other settings, patrolling with a visible armed presence and delivering strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and Texas Level III Armed Certification, a high school diploma, and the ability to work a full-time night schedule with security-focused responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience.
• 5+ years of armed security experience.
• Valid driver's license in accordance with company policy.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of retail areas, parking, access points and perimeters.
• Respond to incidents calmly and in line with site procedures and laws.
• Monitor access points and document incidents accurately.
• Maintain qualifications and handle equipment per Allied Universal policies.

Job Description

As a Elite Security Officer Driver in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and Level III Armed Certification. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-focused, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions and maintaining accurate incident documentation.
• Maintain required qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, site requirements, and applicable regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
