Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Elite Armed Security Officer Driver Patrol in Austin, TX to serve and safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and beyond. This driving post offers a flexible schedule and the chance to grow within a leading security team.

You will perform armed patrols, monitor access points, and maintain professional, customer-focused service. Requirements include 3+ years of relevant experience, Texas Level III Armed Certification, a valid driver's license, and being 21+.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least five years of armed security-related experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification in TX.
• Be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background check and drug screen are required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and applicable laws.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail store areas, parking lots, loading areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while communicating professionally with clients, the public, and Allied Universal leadership.

As an Armed Security Professional at a retail grocery location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least five years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
