Job summary

Seyfarth Shaw LLP seeks an IST lawyer for a fully remote, hourly position tied to our national Labor & Employment practice. The role emphasizes flexible, commitment-based hours with no billable-hours obligation, and allows lawyers located in various states to contribute to exciting employment matters.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of employment litigation, strong familiarity with court practice and federal/state agencies, and experience handling EEOC matters.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of employment litigation experience, preferably management-side.
• Familiarity with federal and state court practice and administrative agencies.
• Experience handling EEOC charges and related investigations, settlements, and statements.
• Strong time management skills and flexible schedule with no billable-hours mandate.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach among experienced lawyers.

Responsibilities

• Draft responsive pleadings and manage all discovery aspects.
• Draft motions, including for summary judgment.
• Defend EEOC charges and prepare positions for investigations and conferences.
• Represent clients in mediations and conciliations, and negotiate settlements.
• Collaborate with partners to share resources and best practices.
