Job summary

On Top Of The World Communities Llc in Ocala, FL seeks an On-Call Banquet Server to provide exceptional food and beverage service at catered events. This part-time, on-call role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to work in high-volume environments.

Responsibilities include setting up banquet spaces, serving meals, maintaining guest satisfaction, and collaborating with kitchen staff. Prior banquet, catering, or service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• 3+ years of customer service experience.
• Experience with food and beverage safety and sanitation regulations.
• Excellent communication for managing staff and following Catering Manager directions.
• Must obtain/hold local/state food handling licenses and/or certificates.
• Banquet/catering service experience preferred; hospitality background welcomed.
• Ability to carry trays up to 30 lbs and stand 8+ hours per shift.
• Professional appearance and reliable transportation to venues.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet areas with tables, linens, centerpieces, and place settings as per diagrams.
• Provide attentive service, including courses, refills, and guest requests.
• Serve plated, family-style, or buffet items following banquet Captain's order.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and allergens to answer guest questions.
• Collaborate with kitchen and event staff to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with breakdown, transport, and return of equipment after events.
• Follow food safety rules, beverage laws, and venue policies.
