Job summary

Set of X is seeking an experienced network engineer to join a high-security environment. All positions require an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. You will support and harden government-grade network infrastructure, including learning networks, classrooms, and datacenter operations.

The role calls for CCNA certification, VMware experience, and strong packet-capture/network-analysis skills, with ability to work flexibly and meet tight deadlines while maintaining security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field is preferred.
• Eight years of progressively responsible network systems engineering experience is required.
• CCNA certification is required at a minimum.
• Familiarity with packet capture and network analysis tools is required.
• Knowledge of monitoring solutions required; VMware/VSphere/VCenter experience is strongly desired.
• Four years of experience can substitute for a degree, totaling twelve years.

Responsibilities

• Support of virtual learning network infrastructure to meet course requirements.
• Support of classroom network infrastructure to meet course requirements.
• Troubleshooting network issues and recommending modifications for optimal performance under security policies.
• Implementing STIG guidance, hardening and maintaining network systems.
