Job summary

Heritage Landscapes is seeking a versatile Landscaping Project Manager to lead high-end residential design-build and bid-build projects in the Bay Area. You will be the primary contact for clients, landscape architects, and general contractors, ensuring design accuracy, schedule adherence, and profitable outcomes.

In this full lifecycle role, you will craft creative concepts, produce precise estimates, and manage change orders from inception to completion, including billing and collections.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in custom landscape design, estimating and project management in high-end residential.
• Experience managing budgets, progress billing, and accounts receivable collections.
• Elite relationship-building with a background in consultative, high-touch client communication.
• Strong knowledge of Bay Area plant materials, microclimates, and premium hardscape standards.
• Exceptional organizational skills to pivot between design presentations and field problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to discover project goals, assess site conditions, and set design budgets.
• Develop customized conceptual landscape designs with 2D/3D layouts and planting plans.
• Build detailed estimates and pricing structures to maintain target margins.
• Present concepts to clients, refine options, and close the sales contract.
• Perform digital takeoffs from blueprints and bid packages; calculate exact costs.
• Oversee project layouts, hardscape details, and planting schemes per specs.
• Manage schedules, track costs, and proactively implement change-orders.
• Generate progress invoices, track AR, and manage client collections.
