Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH Company, is seeking an experienced heavy equipment mechanic to repair and maintain construction equipment across multiple locations in Davis and Salt Lake Counties. Swing shift with some weekend/holiday availability; must possess own tools and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, dismantling to access parts, performing preventive maintenance, welding, and testing repaired equipment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
5 years of experience as a skilled automotive mechanic with heavy equipment.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting.
Must have a current and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoots problems and makes durable repairs.
Dismantles devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
Maintains and repairs heavy equipment and trucks across the company.
Test devices after repairs and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
Orders parts and maintains invoices; operates computer for job functions.
Repairs or replaces defective parts and tests performance.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
