Job summary

Mediacom Communications is seeking a Direct Sales Representative in Cedar Rapids, IA to sell internet, video, home phone, and mobile services. You will gain in-field support, ongoing training, and a structured path for advancement.

The role emphasizes door-to-door selling, flexible evening/weekend hours, and a compensation package including base pay plus commission. Benefits and team activities accompany the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of direct sales or outside/fields sales experience preferred but not required.
• Must be sales driven, success driven, team-player with a positive people orientation.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, proof of auto insurance, and access to a reliable personal vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain sales by canvassing door to door, using proven sales techniques to meet and exceed targets.
• Complete appropriate paperwork and present payment options to customers.
• Canvassing door to door daily from 11am–8pm.
• Receive performance updates from Supervisor or Manager to support success.
• Travel within Mediacom territory; up to two weeks at a time; costs covered by Mediacom.
• Participate in additional duties such as team events, training others, or leading calls when not selling.
