Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated in Oak Grove, Kentucky, is seeking an Event Concierge to support group events and banquets at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel. You will work with Food & Beverage and Marketing to coordinate details, set up venues, and ensure outstanding service.

The role requires flexibility for weekends, holidays and nights, plus the ability to move quickly in a bustling environment. Experience in hospitality or events, plus a willingness to obtain a Kentucky gaming license,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospitality/entertainment/sports experience desired.
• Experience with audio-visual equipment is a plus.
• Able to obtain Kentucky gaming/racing license.

Responsibilities

• Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
• Upholds the company and departmental service standards while ensuring the coaching/accountability measures are enforced.
• Ensures the safety and security of employees and customers.
• Completes room set up, following the floor plan as well as banquet event order.
• Executes table setting, buffet setups, displays, and bars following the banquet event order.
• Conducts closing down and cleanup of banquet spaces.
• Contacts F&B and Marketing teams in advance to confirm all details related to the event and assists the team in facilitating plans and fully responding to day-of requests.
• Ensures courteous, professional, sincere, and responsive communications with all customers (internal and external).
• Other duties as assigned.
