Job summary

Levy is seeking a Catering Server to support event spaces, serve guests, and uphold food safety standards. You will set up, deliver, and break down functions, ensuring a flawless guest experience from start to finish.

The role requires a valid Food Handler Certificate and Responsible Beverage Service Certificate, with at least 1 year of catering experience. You may need a driver’s license and must stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Responsible Beverage Service Certificate required for the province in which you are applying.
• Minimum 1 year experience in catering or similar event environment.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Able to read event orders and organize deliveries for the day.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills.
• Extremely well organized and able to multi-task.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and deliver all food and supplies for catered functions to scheduled locations.
• Log and maintain food temperatures.
• Assist with food and table prep before events begin.
• Arrange buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to standards.
• Serve plated dinners to guests and respond to beverage/appetizer requests.
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during service.
• Clean location after event and assist with inventory/closeout tasks.
• Return food, beverages, equipment and utensils to the catering facility.
• Stock, clean and maintain catering facility and equipment.
• Provide friendly, courteous service at all times.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the complete menu and products on hand.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow safety and sanitation policy and procedures at all times.
