Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Washington state is seeking a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will triage, treat, monitor, and support patients while collaborating with doctors to deliver gold-standard care in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform anesthesia and a range of diagnostics, with opportunities to grow through mentorship and VEG’s clinical programs. Night/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree in veterinary technology preferred; AVMA accreditation advantageous.
• Credentialed veterinary technician in the state of practice.
• 1+ years in a veterinary technician role; emergency/ specialty experience preferred.
• Excellent communication; remains calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Treat every patient and person like they matter; support both pets and clients through tests and treatments.
• Provide nursing care and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Administer meds, monitor patients, and manage therapies (IVs, CRIs, transfusions).
• Collaborate with doctors to shape care plans and maintain smooth flow of care.
• Perform CPR when needed and support RECOVER training initiatives.
