Job summary

Alpha School in Austin, TX is seeking an Elite Coach to lead a K-3 cohort and mentor Guides who support student growth. You will own daily coaching, run workshops on life skills, and connect goals to real progress.

You’ll build repeatable playbooks and scale excellence as the team grows, staying hands-on every day. Requires 5+ years with elementary students and leadership experience. Relocation support provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• At least 5 years working with elementary-aged children (5–9).
• Experience leading a team of 5+ people with hiring/removal authority.
• Experience building or growing a program from the ground up.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coach Guides and students using data, observation, and feedback, with measurable goals.
• Facilitate one-hour live workshops for K-3 on life skills and feedback.
• Run motivation sessions linking goals to academic progress.
• Build and refine playbooks to scale best practices.
• Train Guides on playbooks and model facilitation excellence.
