Job summary

CS Truck & Trailer Repair is seeking a seasoned Class A Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will work on hydraulic, electrical, HVAC, and engine systems, perform road tests, and uphold safety standards in a shop environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of verified diesel experience, a valid Class A CDL, and the ability to lift 100+ pounds. Tools provided, opportunities for growth, and competitive hourly pay offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of verified experience as a Class A Diesel Mechanic.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable, clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
• Basic Computer Skills to submit repairs for billing.
• Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks.
• Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of all components of the truck/body including hydraulic systems, PTO’s, electrical, HVAC, brake, engine, suspension and mechanical portions.
• Clean and maintain assigned work areas, including common shop areas and facility grounds.
• Dispense vehicle fuels and other essential fluids.
• Complete required forms and input required information into the fleet management information system in a timely manner.
• Perform road tests on trucks to assist with problem isolation or to verify repairs.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on diesel trucks and equipment.
• Perform basic to intermediate repair work on diesel trucks and equipment.
• Perform intermediate to advanced troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical/electrical problems.
• Perform warranty repairs and diagnostics.
• Comply with all safety regulations.
