Qualifications

5+ years of verified Class A Diesel Mechanic experience.
Valid driver’s license with clean record.
Ability to lift 100+ pounds and perform inspections.
Own tools and basic computer skills for billing input.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel truck systems including hydraulic, electrical, HVAC, brakes, engine, and suspension.
Maintain clean, organized work areas and manage shop waste and tires.
Dispense fuels and essential fluids as required.
Enter repair details into the fleet management system for billing.
Test drive trucks to verify repairs and problem isolation.
Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on diesel trucks.
Complete warranty repairs and comply with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of all components of the truck/body including hydraulic systems, PTO’s, electrical, HVAC, brake, engine, suspension and mechanical portions.
Clean and maintain assigned work areas, including common shop areas and facility grounds, e.g., maintain recyclables, address fluid spills, and organize bulk storage of tires and barrels.
Dispense vehicle fuels and other essential fluids.
Complete required forms and input required information into the fleet management information system in a timely manner.
Perform road tests on trucks to assist with problem isolation or to verify repairs.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on diesel trucks and equipment, including but not limited to: lubrication and oil changes; seat repair; brake, wheel, tire, and battery services; belt, hose, headlight, and basic component replacement.
Perform basic to intermediate skill‑level repair work on diesel trucks and equipment, including but not limited to the alternator, starter, water pump replacement, and auxiliary equipment installation.
Perform intermediate to advanced troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical/electrical problems.
Perform warranty repairs and diagnostics.
Comply with all safety regulations, policies and local, state and federal regulations.
