CS Truck & Trailer Repair in Lithonia, GA is hiring a skilled diesel mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will work on hydraulic, electrical, HVAC, and engine systems and enjoy a supportive, safety-focused shop environment.

We value 5+ years of Class A diesel experience, own tools, a valid CDL is a plus, and the ability to lift 100+ pounds. Competent computer skills and accurate repair documentation are required.

Qualifications

5+ years of verified Class A Diesel Mechanic experience.
Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
Own your tools and use basic computer skills for billing.
Follow written and oral instructions to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot truck/body systems (hydraulic, electrical, HVAC, engine).
Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks.

Road test trucks to verify repairs and isolate problems.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of all components of the truck/body including hydraulic systems, PTO’s, electrical, HVAC, brake, engine, suspension and mechanical portions.
Clean and maintain assigned work areas, including common shop areas and facility grounds, e.g., maintain recyclables, address fluid spills, and organize bulk storage of tires and barrels.
Dispense vehicle fuels and other essential fluids.
Complete required forms and input required information into the fleet management information system in a timely manner.
Perform road tests on trucks to assist with problem isolation or to verify repairs.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on diesel trucks and equipment, including but not limited to: lubrication and oil changes; seat repair; brake, wheel, tire, and battery services; belt, hose, headlight, and basic component replacement.
Perform basic to intermediate skill-level repair work on diesel trucks and equipment, including but not limited to the alternator, starter, water pump replacement, and auxiliary equipment installation.
Perform intermediate to advanced troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical/electrical problems.
Perform warranty repairs and diagnostics.
Comply with all safety regulations, policies and local, state and federal regulations.
