Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform advanced echocardiography studies and support cath/EP labs. You will prepare patients, obtain histories, and tailor imaging to ensure diagnostic quality.

Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology is required, with a proven two-year track record in cardiovascular sonography. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and staff, adherence to established protocols, and participation in ongoing quality improvement and ICAEL

Qualifications

This role requires advanced knowledge of echocardiography and complex imaging techniques.
Two years of cardiovascular sonography experience including digital quantification.
ARDMS RDCS-AE or CCI RCS registrations required; BLS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced echocardiography studies (M-mode, 2-D, Doppler and Color Flow).
Assist in catheterization/electrophysiology labs to support complex procedures.
Prepare patients, obtain histories, and tailor imaging techniques for diagnostic quality.
Communicate findings to staff and maintain lab equipment and records.
Ensure adherence to quality protocols and participate in ICAEL accreditation.
