Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer in Illinois to perform advanced echocardiography procedures, including M-mode, 2-D, Doppler and Color Flow, and to support complex cardiovascular workups.

You will work with physicians in catheterization and EP labs, ensure quality, and contribute to ICAEL accreditation efforts while maintaining patient safety and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in Sonography.
• Cardiac ultrasound knowledge and invasive/test correlation.
• Experience with transesophageal studies and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures and precise measurements.
• Identifies abnormalities and correlates results with anatomy and function.
• Prepares patients and collects clinical history for optimal imaging.
• Assists in transesophageal studies and sterilizes equipment.
• Communicates findings to staff and records lab statistics.
• Maintains echocardiography lab and ensures quality standards.
